Getting started
Go from install to your first cited playbooks in a day. The Mac app learns; the web app is where you review, export and approve.
How Z.E.U.S works
Z.E.U.S watches the apps you allow on your Mac, splits your day into episodes (one piece of work each), groups similar episodes into task types, and turns each task type into a playbook: steps, conditions and exceptions where every line cites the moments it was learned from.
From there you can ask questions about your work, export playbooks as agent packages, connect everything to Claude over MCP, or hand a work package to an agent that runs on your Mac.
1. Install the Mac app
Download Z.E.U.S for Mac, open the DMG and drag Z.E.U.S to Applications. Launch it and sign in with your Z.E.U.S account — the main window is the same web app you use at zeus.yskew.com. Signing in registers your Mac as a device; you can revoke it later in Settings → Devices.
2. Grant Accessibility
macOS will ask you to allow Z.E.U.S in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. That's the only permission needed to learn. Screen Recording is requested later, the first time you start an agent run.
No keylogging, no learning screenshots
Z.E.U.S never asks for Input Monitoring. It records which element you clicked and what fields changed to — not what you typed character by character, and no screen images while learning.3. Choose your allow-list
Pick the apps and sites Z.E.U.S may learn from in Onboarding or Settings → Allow-list. Anything not on the list is never read. Suggested defaults cover common work apps; password managers, private windows and payment pages are always excluded.
4. Let it learn
Keep working normally. Every night Z.E.U.S processes the previous day. To see results sooner, open Timeline, select a range and choose Process this range.
You'll usually need two or more examples of a task before a playbook appears. New examples of an existing task produce proposals — suggested changes you accept or reject.
5. Review playbooks
Open Playbooks. Click any citation chip to jump to the exact action lines it came from, with the quote highlighted. Edit wording, accept proposals, and archive anything you don't want.
Next steps
- Connect Z.E.U.S to Claude to use your playbooks from claude.ai or Claude Code.
- Export skills, plugins or AGENTS.md bundles.
- Hand work to the agent with approvals and a kill switch.
